Galiano Island, BC – Transfer of title for the 2-hectare lot zoned for 12 units of affordable rental housing at 1663 Georgia View Road is now complete.
This important milestone marks the culmination of a process led by the Gulf Islands Galisle Affordable Rental Housing Society (GIGARHS) beginning in 2018 with pre-development, rezoning in 2022, and subdivision in 2024.
Title has been transferred from the Galiano Club to the Galiano Affordable Living Initiative Society (GALI), with GIGARHS as development partner. GALI and GIGARHS recognize the work of the Galiano Club for seeing the original vision for the Community Forest through to fruition.
