Every gift makes a difference. Whether you’re making a contribution to celebrate Galiano, helping someone who needs an affordable home, or simply wanting to support the work, your gift helps us keep affordable housing moving forward.

Give what feels right for you. Every contribution helps.

Cornerstone is Raise the Roof Galiano's monthly giving community - a circle of islanders and island-lovers who believe that a vibrant Galiano depends on people being able to actually live here.

Right now, our workforce is stretched thin. Essential services - the school, the healthcare centre, our emergency responders - are feeling the strain because the people who power them simply cannot find a place to call home on Galiano. Local businesses are having to cut back their hours. Volunteers are burning out or moving away. That's not the island we want.

Monthly giving changes that. When you join Cornerstone, your gift doesn't just respond to a single moment of need - it becomes part of the foundation. It gives us the reliable, steady support we need to plan, build, and manage affordable rental homes for singles, couples, seniors, and families: real homes, for real people, right here in our community.

This is reciprocity in action. You show up for Galiano, month after month, and Galiano becomes stronger because of you. That's what it means to be a Cornerstone member. You're not just a donor - you’re one of the people holding this community together.

As a Cornerstone member, you're part of the inner circle of people building something lasting on Galiano. Here's what you can look forward to:

• Quarterly Impact Updates
• Annual Cornerstone Community Gathering - An intimate get-together in true Galiano spirit, where Cornerstone members connect, hear updates and celebrate progress.
• Founding Member Recognition - Be among the first to join Cornerstone and your name will be honoured as a founding builder of this community - because that's exactly what you are.

When you ask people why they love it here, they tell you how special this community is. Galiano is a rare and remarkable place - a community rooted in nature, held together by people who genuinely care for one another. But that community is only as strong as the people who can afford to stay in it.

When you become a Cornerstone member, you're not just giving money. You're saying: I believe this place is worth protecting. I believe everyone here deserves a home. I'm someone who shows up for my community.

For any amount of your choosing, (maybe even for the cost of a few ferry coffees a month), you can be part of building real, affordable homes for the neighbours, caregivers, volunteers, and workers who make island life what it is.

Join Cornerstone today. Raise the Roof, Galiano - with us, month after month.

A gift to GALI can be a meaningful way to recognize someone who has made a difference in your life - or to remember someone you wish were still here.

Make a gift in honour of someone special, or in memory of someone you love.

If you choose this option, you can tell us who the gift is honouring or remembering and, if you wish, provide a message for us to share with them or their family.

Affordable housing takes time, persistence and a community willing to support it.
We’re grateful to everyone who has helped Raise the Roof - our donors, volunteers, auction participants, local businesses and all the people who have contributed in ways large and small.

Thank you for helping make room for people to live, work and build a life on Galiano.
